The June Incident is the collapse of the PWR UP era.
June 16 — an assistant’s vial of Foxite solution shatters across IO Fox’s chest and face; “the lab fills with a searing pink glow.” IO begins “seeing the Varyon field directly,” realizes “Varyon saturation is spatial,” and livestreams an urgent announcement confirming the Residual Field and its side effects — “IO’s eyes glow yellow as the feed cuts out mid-sentence.”
He becomes “a living Varyon conduit”; machinery levitates. His assistants use laboratory-grade PWRBNDs to lure him into “a Foxite-lined containment chamber,” then seal and sedate him.
June 17–22 — the “LEASH” music video appears (see The PWR UP Song Arc). June 23–30 — Vulpine Dynamics “issues a full global recall of all Foxite-based products and halts operations indefinitely”; advisories warn against former PWR UP event areas; rumors spread that IO “remains in stasis.” “His disappearance marks the end of the PWR UP era.”
