The one-paragraph version

One year after the success of Force of Nature, pop-star-scientist IO Fox discovers Foxite — a pink crystalline byproduct of his cold-fusion reactor — and through it, Varyon: a field emitted by living beings that bends mass and gravity in proportion to emotion. He builds the VARYON Dumbbells and the PWRBND, founds Vulpine Dynamics, and turns Talaris into a neon utopia running on the PWR UP mantra — until the Residual Field and the June incident bring it all down.
