Taiga is an American multinational that dominates global logistics, and Talaris is one of the places it tries its technology first. Its divisions built or run a good deal of the city’s infrastructure.
- Taiga Logistics runs the Root System, the automated freight tunnels beneath the Tets. City law requires every new tower in the Core to have a Taiga Dock in its basement, and Taiga’s Rollers and drones handle the last stretch to everyone else (see Transportation).
- Taiga Transport built the Grid, the city’s autonomous road network. Vulpine Dynamics operates it today under an agreement with Taiga Transport.
- Taiga Wireless is a phone carrier.
Taiga is also one of the largest customers of PWRCORE-1. The building now called VD Tower was built as Taiga Tower, and Taiga still keeps floors there after Vulpine took over most of it.
