LEASH is IO Fox’s single of September 18, 2026, his first release since he came back to Talaris. It is the heaviest record he has made, darker and more guitar-driven than SHADOW, built around a chorus about needing to be held back from yourself.
IO describes it as a song about regret: about going too far, about not listening to the fans and citizens who were trying to tell him something, and about being consumed by his work and by the chase for progress. Where SHADOW ended on what he wanted to happen, LEASH reads as his account of what did.
It arrived while the comparison study he opened on September 3 was still running and the demonstrations outside PWR UP venues were still going on (see Chapter 6 - The Return).
