PWR UP began as a hook and became “a philosophy of boundless potential.” It has since turned into “a cultural catchphrase” and then “a global mantra,” and Talaris has adopted the PWR UP salute “as a universal symbol of unity and ambition.”
PWR UP: LIVE
PWR UP: LIVE is IO Fox’s concert-plus-keynote series:
- LIVE I (May 22–24, invite-only) unveiled the PWRBND with its Torch Mode and Grab Mode, and debuted PAWS UP 4 TMRW. Attendees described it as “transcendent.”
- LIVE II, the Shadow Event (August 14–16), was where IO performed SHADOW, and where he stopped the show on the second night to shout at hecklers and at the room behind them. Demonstrators were outside the venue for all three nights. See Chapter 5 - BREAK.
Commercially the movement runs on Vulpine Dynamics and its products. Its soundtrack is catalogued under Music, and the unexplained spread of Varyon Syndrome now sits over all of it. Since the Shadow Event, the salute has become contentious in a way it was not in the spring.
