The launch
Vulpine Dynamics announces the VARYON Dumbbells on April 7 and opens pre-orders, promising to make fitness “a conversation between mind and matter.” A week later the single and its video drop alongside the hardware. Both go wide immediately.
The first production run sells out. Buyers report increased motivation, mood elevation, and vivid dreams after intense sessions, and every one of those reports is received as a testimonial rather than logged as an adverse event.
The phrase gets away from him
Within a fortnight the hook has detached from the song. Influencers and athletes post their PWR UP routines, the phrase turns into a greeting, and the PWR UP salute starts appearing in Talaris among people who could not name the track it came from.
Vulpine partners with gyms across the city. IO attends the launch events, and by the end of the month he is sketching a wearable that would put Varyon on a wrist rather than in a gym, which becomes the PWRBND.
He closes the month with an invitation-only celebration livestream and calls it the birth of a new era. By his own account, everything is under control.
