Foxite is a “crystalline byproduct” of IO Fox’s VDMH-1 fusion research. IO describes it as “a glassy, pink-tinted crystalline scale” that forms on cooler reactor hardware after extended duty cycles, and he harvested and archived it as an unknown byproduct for months before identifying what it was.
Because the solid crystals “refract light unpredictably,” IO dissolves them into a clear Foxite solution to study their luminescence. The material emits a faint pink glow that intensifies with motion, heart rate and singing, which is what first suggested it responds to bioelectric fields. Under a microscope, “faint hexagonal lattices of light” form in the glowing solution during controlled movement.
Etched with hexagonal channels (see Varyolithography), Foxite carries Varyon predictably enough to build on, which is the basis of both the VARYON Dumbbells and the PWRBND.
Raw Foxite is not safe to handle casually. Ingestion causes nausea, vomiting, loss of balance and disorientation, and Vulpine protocol requires gloves at all times.
